Good Stuff!
I purchased this unit with my Pioneer AVIC-N4 and it seems to do the job pretty well. The flashing red/yellow/green lines on congested roadways is very helpful. The first time I used it, I was driving and noticed that the route I was going to take (across the East River) was blinking red. I looked across the river and saw a severe traffic jam.

Coming home from that same trip, it alerted me that traffic was slow ahead and asked to reroute. I said yes, and it diverted me onto a highway I didn’t even know existed and cut my travel time down an hour or so.

The only think I don’t like about it that it’s an extra charge with XM and some of the information is dated (ie. road closures that I knew were no longer closed, but listed on the screen).

Overall, if you own a pioneer navigation system - you might as well get it. It’s worth it.

navTraffic is worth it!
I have this unit, with a Pioneer AVIC-D2 headunit. I use it for both XM and NavTraffic. I have to admit that NavTraffic’s incident report isn’t always very up to date, and I really wish they would write WHEN the event occured. Now it just says “Accident, next quarter hour” but come back in 30 minutes and you still have the exact same message up on the screen. However, it is much better with the highway information. And also if highway traffic is slow, and you have a router programmed, the unit will ask if you wish to go around the traffic jam. Sometimes the alternative is worse, because the unit doesn’t know “speeds” off the highway, so if you choose to avoid, you may get in a worse traffic jam.

As far as the XM, reception is good, some channels at times sound like a 56kbps mp3, but most of the time it’s good. Also, it sometimes doesn’t get artist and song title information. I’m not sure if this is the unit’s fault or xm’s.

I would definitly buy this unit again, especially with NavTraffic.

updating firmware over the network
I found the firmware upgrade process a little tricky. The player detect my router and I was able to get the RSS newsfeed. It even checked the internet, and said a new firmware version was available. In spite of the player having an obvious internet connection, it said there was a network error when I went to download new firmware.

I was succesful only after I entered the Communication Setup menu, selected Change the Current Ethernet Setup, Yes to Automatically obtain an IP address, and then continue until I saw that an IP address on my network was aquired and acknowledged by the player.

I have been able to use this player with my Netflix instant que after upgrading the firmware.

Perfect for travel
We purchased this camcorder for our 17 year old daughter who will be spending 2 months in Japan this summer. We wanted something small, easily portable, and easy to use. After receiving the camcorder we gave it to her and told her to “play with it” to see if it would work for her trip. Without even opening the manual she charged, set up, and begain using the camcorder. She is thrilled with it and the test videos she took with it look darned good. We love the size, cost, and portability of the unit and she likes the way it operates. We’ll know more after her trip but our initial experience is very positive.

Samsung Rules, just like their TVs
I have had my C-14 for a week and a half now, and am very pleased with the size and all the features. I am still struggling a bit with the on-line instruction book, but am getting there. One small tip which may only be me, but when you jog the control button to create settings,etc, be sure to us finger or fingernail to push UP or DOWN, etc. At first I was just PUSHING the directional button down and got nowhere except frustrated and ready to start drinking again. Having fun with the time lapse feature,too. The Active Angle lens is a new style to me, but simple to get used to after a bit of practice. I did not expect the unit to be so small, but that is great.The built-in 16 GB of memory is a real treat- probably won’t need to expand with an SD card, but capability is there if I want. I feel a little bad that the C-14 is now $20.00 less than when I ordered it, but that’s supply and demand(Could have gone higher,too…it’s all timing)Great product, great shipping by Amazon, and am now considering buying 2 more for my teenage grandaughters. I also bought a camcorder case by PRESTIGE via Amazon, and the size is perfect for the unit, cables, charger,etc. Best purchase I have made in a long time!

EASY TO USE!
This camcorder is the most user friendly of any camcorder I’ve tried. Yuo can take still photos with it, and it’s super portable. Highly recommend!!!! Also, the red is beautiful.
